We are excited to share the 2023 impact report for Groundswell Ventures Fund II. The fund invests in companies that:
Scale and improve the accessibility of clean energy solutions.
Clean up and remediate pollution in air and water.
Groundswell Ventures is excited, along with our investors, to play a role in reversing trends of environmental harm and climate change.
Groundswell Ventures invests in technology-enabled companies that solve critical environmental problems.
As of the time of writing this report, Fund II has eleven portfolio companies. We added four companies to the portfolio in 2023 and early 2024 that address key climate problems at critical points in industrial cycles; Camus helps utilities manage renewable energy generation within their grid, and Claros destroys PFAS chemicals in industrial waste streams.
An example of success in our portfolio is Circuit, which integrates shared EV mobility into transit systems. While growing nationally, in 2023 the company’s services averted 1.1 million metric tons of petroleum. That’s pretty powerful!
